Katelyn’s Krafts: Creating Connection, One Craft at a Time
There is something powerful about coming together with our hands and our hearts. Katelyn’s Krafts is a monthly gathering rooted in exactly that—connection, creativity, and community—bringing people together to spread joy to those affected by cancer.
At its core, Katelyn’s Krafts is about more than crafting. It’s about creating space for people to feel seen, supported, and understood during some of life’s hardest moments. Through simple, hands-on projects, families and community members connect with one another, share stories, and find comfort in knowing they are not alone.
Why This Event Means So Much to Glitter Guild
Katelyn’s Krafts holds a very special place in our hearts at Glitter Guild. The Weirich family was one of our Glitter families when their daughter, Katelyn, was bravely battling pediatric cancer. During that time, we had the honor of walking alongside them—offering support, care, and moments of light during an incredibly difficult journey.
In 2025, Katelyn passed away. While her loss is deeply felt, her spirit continues to shine brightly through her family’s love and dedication to others. In her honor, the Weirich family created the Strong Like Katelyn Joy Fund—a beautiful legacy that reflects Katelyn’s strength, kindness, and the joy she brought to those around her.
A Community That Never Lets Go
Our partnership with the Strong Like Katelyn Joy Fund is a powerful example of what Glitter Guild stands for. Families may officially “graduate” from our program, but they never leave our community. We remain connected—lifting one another up, rallying together, and continuing to support families facing similar hardships.
Together with The Feel Better Foundation, Glitter Guild proudly helps host Katelyn’s Krafts, creating opportunities for families to meet others who truly understand what they’re going through. These shared experiences foster meaningful connections and remind us all that even in grief, love and hope endure.
Honoring Katelyn’s Legacy
Every craft made, every conversation shared, and every smile exchanged at Katelyn’s Krafts carries forward Katelyn’s legacy of strength, joy, and her love of crafts. We are deeply grateful to the Weirich family for allowing us to be part of something so special—and for continuing to turn their love for Katelyn into support for so many others.
